Word has been received here of the death of John ENGLISH who died at Clinton, Illinois. He was the son of Baker and Emma Marshall English and was born and raised at Waveland. There survive him his wife, Nettie Rice English, two daughters, two brothers, Harry of Chicago and Ray of Clinton. Funeral services were held at Clinton, burial was there. - kbz

John English, 521 South Quincy Street, a retired Illinois Central railroad conductor died in the company hospital, Chicago at 10:30 p.m. Monday. His death was due to complications resulting from a major operation performed there several weeks ago. Mr. English was born at Waveland, Indiana, a son of HB and Emma Marshall English and was married to Nettie Rice who survives with three children, John at home; Mrs. Lena Waddock, Ft. Sheridan, Ill; and Mrs. JE Johnson, Mitchell, South Dakota; three brothers, HC of Gary, Ind; Charles, Lebanon, Ind and Ray, Clinton; also one grandchild, Nicholas John Waddock. He was a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen of Clinton. Funeral services will be held in the Reeser Funeral Home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. JD Muir. Burial will be in Memorial Park. - kbz
